Two years ago, I took a leap of faith that changed my life. With no formal fitness qualifications and a background in social housing, I stepped away from a steady job and into the unknown — taking over the small studio gym I’d been a passionate member of, just as it was about to close its doors.
What started as a bold decision rooted in love for the space and its community quickly became a personal mission: to keep the heart of the gym alive and create a welcoming, supportive environment where people of all backgrounds could feel strong, seen, and inspired.
I may not have followed the “traditional” path into fitness, but that’s exactly what makes this place different. Everything we do here is built on real-life experience, community spirit, and a belief that sometimes, the best qualifications are passion and perseverance.
Whether you're new to fitness, looking for a fresh start, or just want a place where you feel like you truly belong — my studio is here for you.
Pound isn’t just a workout — it’s a release. It’s a full-body cardio jam session inspired by drumming, using lightly weighted Ripstix to turn music into movement. What I love most is how inclusive and empowering it is — you don’t need to be a dancer, a drummer, or even “fit” to feel like a rockstar. Every session is a chance to let go, get loud, and sweat it out in a way that feels like pure joy. Whether you're a total beginner or a seasoned fitness lover, Pound meets you where you are — and takes you somewhere amazing.
Fast forward to today — and here we are! I'm now a qualified Level 2 Gym Instructor, with additional certifications in Indoor Cycling, Group Training, Boxercise — and I’m a proud Pound Pro! Pound is my true passion, and I can't wait to bring these fun, high-energy rockout classes to The Studio.
If you're looking for a welcoming, energetic place to move, connect, and thrive — you're in the right place. I can’t wait to meet you and help you fall in love with fitness all over again!
